Herve Jacques Louis Arthur de Looze was born in Brussels, Belgium on May 15th 1921. Among many of his achievements, he obtained two medals in ornamental modelling and history of architecture. He was member of ASCORAL (Assembly of Builders for Architectural Renovation) founded by Le Corbusier in 1943; co-founder of the Former Utiles group with Charlotte Perriand, Andre Herman, Rene Herbst, Georges Henri Pingusson and Jean Prouve in 1949-50.
